FFEN is excited to welcome Communications Intern Nico Jacques to our team this semester! Nico will be helping us tell the stories of FFEN and its partners in the months to come and we're excited to have him on board. Let's start by getting to know Nico, his interests, and what brought him to this new role!
Name: Nicolas Jacques Home town: Green Bay, Wisconsin Occupation: Student
Why FFEN? I chose FFEN because I am looking to tell compelling stories through opportunities and people I meet through FFEN. There are an abundance of organizations partnered with FFEN whose stories would make for great short-form documentaries.
Social causes that you are passionate about: I am passionate about educating related to injustices like food insecurity. As a Food Media major at the University of Minnesota, I am drawn to stories about food and the role it plays in culture and society at large.
Who do you admire the most? Korean director Bong Joon-ho is my greatest role model. He is telling the most interesting and groundbreaking stories today with strong messages while still being top-tier entertainment.
Ideal Vacation: I would love to travel to New Zealand. I can picture myself hiking and camping in the mountains used as filming locations in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
