FFEN is excited to welcome Jess Johnson as our new Program Impact Manager! With more than 10 years of experience developing and managing volunteer programs, Jess knows firsthand how volunteers help an organization better meet its mission. Before FFEN, Jess was a Volunteer Resource Developer at Second Harvest Heartland. She served as an internal consultant serving as an internal consultant across 18 departments to further develop high quality, impactful projects for skilled volunteers. Throughout her career, Jess has worked intentionally to streamline processes and increase efficiencies to effectively scale programs and impact.
Kate Burggraff, FFEN executive director, shared the following about the staff addition: “I am thrilled to have Jess join the FFEN team! Jess is committed to a relational approach which is critical to FFEN’s work with food shelves across the state. Her proven track record of bringing volunteer expertise to the table to tackle big projects and creatively find solutions will only further our ability to support sustainable and transformed food shelves.”
Jess lives in New Hope with her husband and son, where they enjoy cooking and baking together and being outside as much as possible.
